ABOUT ME
Curiosity. Non-judgement. Unconditional positive regard. Suzanne is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist whose therapeutic philosophy rests on those three tenets. Suzanne believes growth comes from leaning into vulnerability and practicing acceptance of all our parts. Suzanne supports her clients in finding their voice, purpose, and most importantly how to love and value themselves. Suzanne believes that when judgment is removed from the equation, it allows us to share ourselves authentically and without fear.
Suzanne has worked for 9 years in adult dual diagnosis treatment facilities and as a result, has a comprehensive understanding of addiction, cooccurring disorders, and the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. Suzanne creates a safe, inviting, and comfortable space for her clients to create or rediscover their true self. Suzanne meets her clients where they are and challenges them to practice curiosity when identifying and exploring maladaptive coping skills, patterns, and life challenges in general.
Suzanne’s approach is gentle and empowers clients to tap into the remarkable skills and strengths that already exist with them. Her approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and evidence-based, using elements of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, Person-Centered, and Family Systems. Suzanne has experience helping clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and populations learn adaptive and holistic ways to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other disorders. Suzanne is a supporter and ally to the BIOPIC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
